RIVERE is taking another major step forward in our mission to build a world-class ecological center on the Rappahannock River. Today, we are excited to introduce the newest member of our team, Danielle Chiacchia, who joins us as Operations Manager.
As RIVERE moves deeper into the design of our physical facility and the launch of our virtual center, our operational needs are growing rapidly. Danielle will play a vital role in building the systems that support our work. She will oversee our grant management processes, facilitate communication across our network of partners, and ensure our internal infrastructure can scale alongside our ambition.
Danielle Chiacchia is the Operations Manager at RIVERE Ecological Center, where she specializes in shaping the operational infrastructure and strategic partnerships necessary to translate ambitious environmental visions into reality. She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, with a specialization in Climate and Energy policy,
and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. Throughout her career, Danielle has built a reputation for her proactive approach to managing high-stakes logistics, streamlining organizational systems, and leading cross-functional collaborations that deliver measurable results.
Driven by a commitment to climate resilience and sustainable innovation, she thrives in fast-moving environments where she applies a sharp analytical lens to complex problem-solving. A Rhode Island native, Danielle grew up in the Blackstone River watershed and spent her formative years exploring the Narragansett Bay; witnessing the intersection of industrial legacy and natural beauty in these landscapes ignited the lifelong passion for ecosystem restoration and resilience that anchors her professional mission today.
